Jeanne Mrozek, MD

FOUNDER & PRESIDENT
Dr. Mrozek has been practicing neonatology since 1998. She is a University of Minnesota graduate with a BS in Chemistry and a degree in Medicine. She completed her pediatrics residency and a neonatology fellowship at the University of Minnesota.  Currently the Medical Director of Neonatal Intensive Care for North Memorial Health at Robbinsdale and Maple Grove , Dr. Mrozek’s previous roles include Medical Director of the NICU at Children’s Hospital Minnesota- Minneapolis campus. She is past President of Minnesota Perinatal Organization and has been a neonatal consultant for Reinsurance Group of America (RGA) Rosebud program.  Passionate about her work with the Minnesota Neonatal Foundation, Dr. Mrozek is grateful to have been selected as a May 2018 recipient of The  Ellis Island Medals of Honor.

Mike Dickson

TREASURER
Mr. Dickson is a founding partner of the Lambert Dickson Group of RBC Wealth Management. A University of St. Thomas graduate with a BA in Psychology, he has over 25 years of investment and private enterprise experience in advising affluent families and institutions. He is an Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF) designee and a recognized authority in the areas of fiduciary responsibility and investment consulting. Mike is also a serial entrepreneur who has invested in several private companies in Minnesota, including Zubaz, where he was a founder and director, and a variety of technology consulting companies. He has a long history of community involvement in the Saint Paul area and beyond.

Amanda Skalland

SECRETARY
Ms. Skalland is an early childhood special education teacher in one of the Twin Cities public schools. She has been teaching for 16 years, primarily working with families and their young children through early intervention services. She has a passion towards helping families advocate for their needs so they can make informed decisions. Amanda double majored at the University of Minnesota with degrees in child psychology and early childhood special education and then went on to receive her Master’s in Education. She grew up in a small town in South Dakota and now lives in Minnetrista on a lake with her family. She and her husband have one daughter, who unexpectedly decided to enter this world at 28 weeks, weighing 1 pound, 13 ounces in 2016. The Skalland family spent 80 emotional days in the North Memorial - Robbinsdale NICU where Amanda experienced another side of early intervention and how to best support families.

Bob Kron

Mr. Kron is President and Chief Operating Officer at The Rydell Company.  A University of St. Thomas graduate and native of Richfield, MN, Bob started his career in sales with General Mills, became Area Vice President at GlaxoSmithKline, and has been with The Rydell Company for over 10 years. 
Bob has a passion for philanthropy and has been instrumental in helping many organizations achieve their goals.  He has been a consistent supporter of Minnesota Neonatal Foundation since its inception, providing motivational expertise and fundraising assistance.  He is a lifelong hockey lover and enjoys spending time with his wife, kids, and grandkids.

Tisha Sherdan

Ms. Sherdan has over 20 years of financial executive management leadership experience and is currently the Call Center Manager for City & County Credit Union.  She is the Founder and Director of Diversity & Inclusion LLC, an entity specializing in diversity and inclusion with an emphasis on disabilities, workforce equality, and children with special needs. 

Ms. Sherdan has partnered with Hennepin County Medical Center, the Governor’s Workforce Development Council, MACMH, and Family Voices of Minnesota.  She has served as a diversity and inclusion consultant for diversity for patient advocacy, as a mentor for college students with disabilities, and as a support parent to families whose children have special health care needs and disabilities.  In addition, she has served on numerous boards including: Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Minnesota(Board of Trustees), Minnesota Business Leadership Network (Committee Member), United Way (Emerging Leaders membership Chairperson), and Hennepin County Medical Center (Medical Executive Committee).  Nothing compares to the passion she has as the mother of her one and only miracle son, Bernard Evans, born extremely premature at 24 weeks gestation weighing one pound seven ounces.  Bernard spent his first three months in the NICU at Hennepin County Medical Center.  As Ms. Sherdan continues to walk her life journey as a mother, she will always give her heart and sole returning  back to the community what she and her son received- support, encouragement, resources and kindness.

Lisa Oster

Ms. Oster is a marketing and communications professional with deep experience in both business to business and consumer engagement, presently the Communications and PR leader at Jack Link's Protein Snacks. . Previously, she held a long-time gig as Director of Brand & Advertising with a Business to business subsidiary of Hallmark Cards in Minneapolis, MN. Ms. Oster is honored to serve on the Minnesota Neonatal Foundation board of directors, relishing the chance to make a difference through communication and connection in the lives of premature babies, their families and the medical staff who support them. Also, she was told there was no math.

         Breeanna Obermann

Ms. Obermann grew up in Mountain Iron, Minnesota and graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Superior with a degree in Journalism. A short while later she found her true passion in the field of nursing. Ultimately graduating with her BS in Nursing from Western Governors University, Salt Lake City. She has been a NICU nurse, a charge nurse, and is currently on the NICU Transport Team at North Memorial Health- Maple Grove Hospital. Breeanna has been a fervent supporter of Minnesota Neonatal Foundation since 2019. She excels in team building and has led the volunteer teams at our last several NICU Family Reunions as well as at our Better Together Gala and Pints for Preemies fundraisers. She and her husband Adam are the proud parents of two adorable children who keep them on their toes.
